WESTFIELD, Mass.  – Westfield State University freshman Jake Ratcliffe (Auckland, New Zealand) was named the MASCAC men's ice hockey Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference this past Monday.

Ratcliffe scored a pair of goals, including the game winner in the Owls' 3-0 conference win over Framingham State Saturday night.

Ratcliffe has tallied three goals and an assist on the Owls young hockey season thus far.

The Owls hit the ice again this Thursday as they host MASCAC opponent Umass. Dartmouth at 7:35 p.m. at Amelia Park Ice Arena.
