MCLA Tops Owls in Golf Dual

Dom Terzi ?

WESTFIELD, Mass.  –  Dominic Terzi shot a 79 to lead Westfield State, but it wasn't enough for the Owls to overcome the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts as the Trailblazers posted a 331-339 win over the Owls in a men's golf dual match at the Tekoa Country Club on Tuesday.

Terzi shot the low round of the day for the Owls, one stroke ahead of Jack Corsi's 80.

Mat Gover was the medalist with a round of 1-over par 72 for the Trailblazers on the par-71, 6,438-yard Donald Ross/Geoffrey Cornish designed course.  It was the second win of the year at Tekoa for Gover, who matched his score from the Owls' Brett Williamson Invitational in the fall.

Westfield will play at the Rich Korzec Memorial tournament at Blackstone National GC in Sutton tomorrow, before wrapping up the spring portion of the season with the Elms College invitational at the Ranch GC in Southwick on Saturday.
