Jauch Green, Jr. led Westfield State basketball past Pine Manor, 92-75, in a non-conference matchup on December 11 at Brunelli Court in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
Green went 14-17 from the floor for 38 points along with nine rebounds and four assists.
The Owls extended a 28-25 advantage over the final four minutes of the first half to finish the opening frame with a comfortable 42-29 lead.
The Gators trimmed the deficit to seven (78-71) with 2:31 remaining in the game, but a pair of layups by Vawn Lord and Marcus Collins along with six consecutive made free throws down the stretch secured the victory.
Lord added 15 points in the win and Collin finished with a double- double, 13 points and 11 boards.
The Owls improve to 6-4 and the Gators drop to 3-9.
Westfield heads to Springfield College for a cross town showdown on Saturday, December 15 at 3:00 p.m.
