WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Westfield State University junior forward Jauch Green, Jr. (Hartford, Conn.) was named the MASCAC men's basketball Player of the Week, as announced by the conference earlier on Monday.

Green averaged 29 points, eight rebounds, three steals and 2.5 assists while shooting 64.7% (22-34) from the field in a 1-1 week for the Owls. He scored 37 points with five rebounds and two steals, and made 10 of 15 free throws in the Owls' 89-88 overtime setback to Emmanuel College. He also added a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds in the 102-87 win at Elms College on Saturday.

The Westfield State men's basketball team gets back to work on Saturday, December 8 as they host Western New England, tip off scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
