WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Westfield State field hockey wrapped up the 2021 regular season after falling to Keene State 3-1 in a Little East Conference game from Keene, N.H. on Saturday afternoon. Westfield attempted to climb back into the game as Sarah Richard (Templeton, Mass.) collected a feed from Taylor Creech (Kennebunk, Maine) for her second goal in as many games to cut the deficit in half. However, Keene would answer at the 24th minute of action with Maggie Cahoon (Keene, N.H.) recording her fifth goal of the year on an assist from Paula Vasiliadis (Concord, Mass.) to regain their two-goal advantage.

Both teams were held scoreless in the second half with Westfield failing to record a shot in the final two quarters. Keene outshot Westfield 13-2 including shots on goal (9-2). Keene attempted ten penalty corners to Westfield's three.
