WESTFIELD, Mass. - Senior left-handed pitcher John Gegetskas was recently named to the NCAA Union Regional All-Tournament team, as released by Kean University sports information earlier today.

Gegetskas started the first game of the regional, allowing just one earned run in seven innings of work. He limited a red-hot Ithica lineup to just five hits, striking out eight batters in the process. 

The lefty was also given an at-bat in the final inning of the Owls' 7-1 loss to Shenandoah, where he would work a walk in the only at-bat of his career.

Gegetskas finished the year breaking the all-time strikeout record and his own single-season strikeout record, this time fanning 91 batters to bring his career strikeout total to 267. The senior ace ended his career with a 22-8 record, three saves, and a 2.46 era over 249 innings of work.
