Westfield State Athletics welcomes back alumnus Dan Letteriello ’14 as the Woodward Center Facility manager, announced Owls’ athletic director Dick Lenfest today.

“Dan brings great experience to this position, as he is familiar with both our facility and staff,” said Lenfest.  “He will play an important role in the Woodward Center with both our internal events and assisting the many external groups that utilize the Woodward Center for camps, clinics, games, and meetings throughout the year.  He also brings another full-time staff member to campus who will work with our football student-athletes throughout the academic year.”

Letteriello holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management with a concentration in marketing from Westfield State and is planning on finishing his MPA from Westfield State as well.

In addition to his work with the Woodward Center, Letteriello will also serve as the offensive coordinator for the Westfield State football team.

Letteriello most recently served as a football Quality Control Coach for Holy Cross, a NCAA Division I FCS program in Worcester, Mass.

A reserve quarterback in his undergraduate days at Westfield State, Letteriello previously spent three years on the Owls athletics and football staff, serving as a graduate assistant for two years before becoming the Owls’ offensive coordinator on head coach Pete Kowalski’s staff in 2016.  During his time at Westfield, Letteriello also coordinated special teams, which featured an All-New England punter, and worked with All-Conference running back Michael Mercadante as running backs coach in 2014.

Letteriello also spent one year coaching at Anna Maria College, where he helped recruit the largest-ever incoming class while serving as both special teams coordinator and passing game coordinator.
