Wainwright also earned first-team all-conference honors in 1992. Following her injury-plagued senior season in 1994, she participated in the New England Senior All-Star game.

Wainwright holds the school record for steals in a season with 92 and ranks second in career assists. She scored 575 career points.

Wainwright transferred to Westfield State following her freshman year at UMass Lowell, where she was a significant contributor on an NCAA Tournament team. She attended high school in nearby Easthampton, where she was the first female player to score more than 1,000 points.

Wainwright resides in her hometown of Easthampton and is a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. She enjoys golfing and is a standout bowler, posting the highest average in her women’s bowling team for eight consecutive years.
