David Tabin was an All American for the nationally ranked Westfield State baseball program in 1976 and 1977. 

Tabin transferred from Holyoke Community College and made an immediate impact in the outfield in 1976, as he was selected a third team All American. 

The two-time All New England and all conference selection is Westfield’s career batting leader with a .416 average, hitting .430 in 1977 and .402 in 1976. He also holds the school record for most hits in a season (61) and had 28 stolen bases in each of his seasons at Westfield. 

Tabin resides in his hometown of Holyoke and is a sales representative for the Buxton leather company. He officiates college basketball games and is a former college baseball umpire. 

He is married to Barbara (Poirier), a 1977 Westfield State graduate.
