WESTFIELD, Mass. – As part of National Student-Athlete Day, Westfield State athletics welcomes 27 senior student-athletes to Chi Alpha Sigma, the national student-athlete honor society
Chi Alpha Sigma is the first, and only, national scholar-athlete society to honor those four-year collegiate student-athletes who have excelled in both the classroom and in athletic competition.
Chi Alpha Sigma recognizes undergraduate college student-athletes who participate in a sport at the varsity intercollegiate level, achieve junior academic standing or higher after their fifth full time semester, and earn a 3.4 or higher cumulative grade point average.
This is the seventh class of Chi Alpha Sigma at Westfield State, joining 169 previous inductees.
The Owls honorees will be recognized at the annual Student Athlete Awards Ceremony on May 3.
