Owls' SAAC Supports Local Community at the Holidays

WESTFIELD, Mass.  –  Westfield State University student athletes took an active role in the community for the holiday season, as the Owls Student Athlete Advisory Committee worked with their teammates to raise more than $1,000 to provide gifts for 31 children from 15 local families.

The students athletes raised money within thier athletic teams, and 'adopted' families in need through Westfield's Volunteers in Public Schools Secret Santa program for the 14th consecutive year.

The Owls student athletes raised enough money to add several new families to the rolls. 

Members of SAAC shop for the presents, wrap them, and delivered them to the schools on Thursday, to ensure that children have a Merry Christmas in Westfield.
